Junior Advanced Course JUNIOR SPECIAL ADVANCED COURSE

Ages of students: 6-7 year olds
Qualifications: Graduate of the Yamaha Junior Music Course and successful audition
Course length: 4 years
Class schedule: One hour per week for the first 2 years, then 1-1/2 hours per week for the remainder
Private Lessons: One half hour per week for the first 2 years, then 45 minutes per week for the remainder

The Junior Special Advanced Course will build on the skills and musicality developed in the Junior Music Course, and apply them to keyboard performance and creativity. It is an accelerated course for students who demonstrate advanced capabilities.

The Junior Special Advanced Course will:

	Develop performance skills on the piano or Electone^® in the private lessons.
	Develop improvisation and composition skills.
	Emphasize hearing, reading, writing, singing and ensemble skills as part of a broader musical foundation.
