Judith Kapplin Parks, the owner and director of
Atlanta Music Centers, has been teaching Suzuki
piano and Yamaha keyboard courses for over 20 years.
she holds a BA and MA from Georgia State University
and a Ph.D. from New York University. A soloist with
the Atlanta Symphony at age 15, she has performed
concertos with the Atlanta Symphony, the Atlanta
Pops, and the Atlanta Community Orchestra as the
winner of their competitions. Every year her private
piano students win the AMTA local piano competition
and place in the GMTA state piano competition. She
is currently the president of the Atlanta Suzuki
Piano Association.
Atlanta Music Centers
in Dunwoody, East Cobb, Gwinnett, & England Piano on
the Northeast Expressway are celebrating their 23rd
year as the premier center for music education. They
have the largest Suzuki and Yamaha Music Schools in
the Southeast with over 2,000 students ages 3 and
up. the Suzuki Music School specializes in private
piano, private & group violin, flute, and guitar
with parents in attendance at the lessons. Children
can start as young as 4 on violin, flute and guitar
with small instruments sized to their needs. The
Yamaha Music School teaches children as young as 3
general musicianshop, singing, keyboard, note and
rhythm reading in a group setting with parents
attending the lessons. (This year Atlanta Music
Center had three Yamaha students ages 7-9 win the
Junior Original Composition competition.)
Atlanta Music Center
has a faculty of 40 teachers with advanced degrees
and many years of musical experience.
